We are seeking a Strategic Initiatives & Learning Lead with outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to join our Human Resources team in Toronto. The individual will play a critical role leading people and learning projects and programs, reporting to our Vice President of Talent Management.
The Strategic Initiatives & Learning Lead will be expected to be a conceptual thinker with fantastic organizational and time management skills. You will have the ability to draft compelling program materials and communications, be highly proficient with Microsoft Powerpoint and Excel, are able to multitask in a fast-paced environment and be adaptable through ambiguity.
To ensure success, the Strategic Initiatives & Learning Lead will need to display strong problem solving and decision-making skills with a deep understanding of employee engagement, culture and learning needs.
Responsibilities:
- Keep up to date with the latest HR talent trends and best practices.
- Support identification of important events along HR calendar, outline strategic HR programs and projects, and manage and oversee progress
- Promote engagement and retention through elevating key moments that matter to employees
- Assist with HR projects including change management and communication efforts which can include supporting various COEs
- Run culture, recognition, and wellbeing programs and continuously seek to improve and evolve these programs
- Play an active role in efforts to define HR procedures, frameworks, and approaches and support deployment
- Collaborate with colleagues on key initiatives such as evolving our onboarding journey, talent and learning programs while enhancing the employee experience
- Ideate people programs and events that will promote CG’s culture and values and own seeing through the details and end to end execution
Requirements:
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
- Strong people skills and relationship management
- Highly computer literate with capability with email, MS Office and related business and communication tools.
- Understanding of HR functions and best practices.
- Experience in L&D or Talent considered an asset
- 4+ years of experience in Human Resources
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Fantastic organizational and time management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related.
- Bilingualism will be a plus
