Job Description
One of our automotive manufacturing clients in Simcoe, ON is looking for a Human Resources Specialist.


Shift - Days


Responsibilities


  • The candidate shall be able to draft and edit reports, recommend resolutions, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • The candidate shall act as a resource for team members and leadership on employee relation issues.
  • They will also monitor and offer support in the accommodation process, ensuring compliance with the Employment Standards Act (ESA) and Human Rights regulations.
  • The candidate's responsibilities include conducting workplace fact finding meetings and investigations, such as those related to workplace violence and harassment, in a timely, discreet, and professional manner.
  • The responsible candidate should ensure that all matters are fully researched, responses are prepared and issued within prescribed timelines.
  • The candidate will provide support and administer disciplinary processes regarding attendance and performance.
  • The candidate will conduct research and offer guidance on ensuring compliance with updates to the Employee Standard Act, Canada Labour Code, and Human Rights legislation. Additionally, they will fulfill any other relevant duties assigned to them.
  • The candidate will mediate and facilitate the resolution of employee-employer conflicts, ensuring mutually agreeable outcomes. They will also provide coaching, consultation, and advice to leadership on interpreting policies and procedures.

  • Ability to perceive and understand the emotions of others and interact with appropriately based on those emotions.


Qualifications


  • Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated work experience, preferably in areas of labour relations, conflict resolution, and HR processes and policies.
  • University degree, diploma or graduate certificate in related field (Human Resources, Human Resource Management or Labour Relations). CHRP designation is an asset.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset.
