Our client is a very well-branded and respected Canadian consumer goods firm.
The Human Resources Manager will be reporting directly to the Plant Manager of the facility and indirectly to the VP of Human Resources, this Managerial position encompasses all of the fundamental Human Resource functions. The HR Manager will be responsible for effectively delivering all HR fundamentals and HR processes for the site. This role is key in driving a high-performance culture and fostering and promoting our Leadership Behaviors.
What you should expect:
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Ensure HR fundamentals/HR processes are delivered on time with the highest quality standards
- Manages the talent acquisition process inclusive of collaborating with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Provides support and guidance to HR team, management and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise.
- Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Ensure that various HR programs are effectively delivered, including performance management, capability development, employee engagement, disability management and onboarding
- Promotes and supports learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
- Maintains compliance with federal and provincial employment laws and regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy, particularly concerning current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.

Education and Experience:
- 7-10 years HR experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools
- Bachelor’s Degree of Business, Human Resources preferred
- CHRP or CHRL preferred
