About the Position
The Human Relations function is committed to creating a work environment where people experience:

Reporting to the Territorial Compensation Manager, this position supports the development, implementation, and administration of fair and competitive compensation management processes across the Territory (Canada & Bermuda).
The incumbent will act as a point of contact and provide support to HR Advisors and Supervisors with job analysis and evaluation, clarification of compensation policy and managing the annual merit review process for client groups. They will participate in salary structure design and administration, conduct pay equity analysis and coordinate job design and job evaluation processes. This position will lead and/or support projects and training initiatives specific to the compensation area including market review process, job evaluation process, job architecture, and compensation best practices and will be responsible for the creation and implementation of HR Compensation dashboards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support in managing pay structures and formulating recommendations for salary structure movement and merit increase budget.
- Support the annual compensation cycle and key activities for assigned client groups.
- Lead data analysis projects on an ad-hoc basis including pay equity reviews, competitive pay requests and others as assigned.
- Identify and recommend improvements to policies, processes and training.
- Prepare merit worksheets to assist planning managers with making informed salary decisions and provides salary modeling as needed.
- Evaluate jobs using established job evaluation system, utilizing online tools to capture job information and perform fair and consistent job evaluations and documentation.
- Participate in the design and implementation of a new HRIS as a subject matter expert.
- Assist in leading the implementation of the new job architecture and educate HR partners and leaders on the application of the job catalogue.
- Participate in the Territorial Job Evaluation Committee to review jobs and bring compensation related issues forward that require input and decision-making by senior leadership.
- Provide support to leaders in understanding compensation principles and terminology by providing clear and consistent guidance regarding pay decisions, policies, processes and job evaluation.
- Create materials to effectively communicate compensation program, policies and practices to employees and leaders and deliver training and educational sessions as required.
- Support Territorial compliance with Pay Equity legislation with proactive analysis as required.
- Recommend, implement, and administer base salary, compensation, and recognition programs for designated internal client groups.
- Design, develop and implement HR Dashboards to track key performance metrics across the regions.
- Design and build compensation metrics, reports and tools for analysis of internal equity and external market competitiveness.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- CHRP an asset
- CCP or actively pursuing CCP designation
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, business, or a related field
Knowledge & Experience:
- General knowledge related to the administration of compensation programs, various employment laws and practices, and union agreements
- 5-7 years of experience in compensation management
- Workday experience an asset
- Knowledge of Pay Equity legislation
- Experience leading small-scale projects an asset
PREFERRED SKILLS/CAPABILITIES:
- Ability to present complex data in a simplified and easy to understand format
- Excellent computer system skills – HRIS, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong interpersonal relationship building skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, time management and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical skills - Advanced Excel capability to manipulate data to accurately drive insight
Compensation
The target hiring range for this position is $74,258 to $92,283 with the ability to progress to a maximum of $111,387. Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
