Job Description

Reporting to the HR Director, the Senior Total Rewards Advisor will play a key role in the development, delivery, and optimization of MEDFAR’s global compensation and benefits programs and processes. Our employees are currently based in Canada, the USA, Armenia, and India. Responsibilities will include:

Compensation and Benefits

  • Play a key role in the design, delivery, and administration of Compensation and Benefits programs, plans, and policies, including compensation structure, benefits programs, STIP, and LTIP.
  • Build and deploy a salary structure for the organization ensuring internal equity across departments, job families, and geographiesCollaborate with various internal and external stakeholders in HR, Finance, Executive team, vendors, consultants, and third-party auditors to administer Total Rewards programs.
  • Monitor innovative global remuneration practices internationally.
  • Manage the annual compensation review exercise as well as variable pay programs globally.
  • Lead the job evaluation process and recommend Total Rewards packages to attract and retain talent while ensuring internal and external equity.
  • Perform various cost analyses to determine financial viability as well as program effectiveness.
  • Participate in compensation surveys, analyze data, and provide recommendations based on market forecasts and compensation trends.

HR Operations and Systems

  • Partner closely with the Systems Integration team in the scoping and implementation of new HR systems.
  • Responsible for data-gathering, configuring, implementing, testing & and auditing, and maintaining implement, our HRIS based on business requirements.
  • As our HRIS super-user, perform audits of our system, and ensure efficient and effective recording of HR data.
  • Design, analyze, optimize, and build processes, guidelines, and documentation, relating to Total Rewards as well as HR Operations.
  • Produce high-quality reports and presentations for the HR and Leadership teams.

Compliance and M&A

  • Play a key role in upcoming M&A activities, with a particular focus on the Due Diligence and Post-M&A Integration.
  • Support with HR compliance by ensuring local legal requirements related to employee compensation are adhered to.

Projects:

  • Lead and contribute to Total Rewards and cross-functional HR projects as needed.
  • Upcoming projects include Job Leveling evaluation, HR ticketing system implementation, HRIS implementation, Pay Equity exercise preparation, Performance Management program redesign, and Insurance program redesign.


Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel with strong analytical skills and the ability to gather insights from complex data sets and identify actions and recommendations
  • In-depth experience with HR systems (e.g. ADP, Ceridian, BambooHR, Workday)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field. CHRP designation preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive Compensation & Benefits experience. US and international compensation experience is an asset.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment.
  • Demonstrated track record of driving process improvements and projects from inception to execution.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and French.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to foster trusting relationships with leaders and employees.
