B2B Marketing Manager with heavy Event Management experience
Our client, located near O'Hare Airport, is looking for a Marketing Specialist to assist their sales team with B2B Marketing campaigns as well as support all tradeshows and events!
This is NOT a Digital Marketing position- this is working in a SMALL BUT MIGHTY marketing environment (3 people). Most of the digital work will be working on an editorial calendar performing drip email campaigns, social media posts and event and gifting programs.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, track and optimize (+100) trade, continuing education and sponsorship events, leading exhibit, and attendee registration, securing venues, negotiating services, and securing appropriate booth display materials, premium items, collateral, etc.
- Lead Social Media strategy – defining channels, building content calendars and distribution model with sales teams
- Manage integrated marketing campaigns for current customer engagement and growth, and new customer acquisition through the development of multi-touch communications calendars
- Lead the development of integrated B2B marcom plans
- Entertainment and Gifting – Lead annual gift programs Serve as point for development and execution of national and regional parties for client entertainment, as well as the development of entertainment programs for key accounts/advisory board members.
- Lead the development of creative assets - identifying vendors, briefing, approving content with input from leadership, and supervising budgets and timeline
- Partner with Sales and IT to optimize Salesforce for trigger-based communications via marketing automation software (currently Pardot)
- Lead Email Marketing – build creative templates, source, and manage lists, automation, and reporting
- Create KPI dashboard for reporting and internal accountability
- Manage SWAG, identifying vendors and premiums, managing budget, inventory, and fulfillment to support inside, outside, and event needs.
- Plan and execute pre, during and post-show communications (email and social media). Track all events via KPI scorecard
Qualifications:
- Strong technical knowledge and experience with web authoring and social media tools, graphics, and design for the effective delivery of content including mastery of Microsoft Office suite, PowerPoint, WordPress, and Internet tools
- Copywriting, proofreading and editing experience is a plus as this position may need to tweak marketing campaigns
- 3-5 years of experience working in a B2B marketing environment, with creative development, email, and tradeshow marketing experience. Salesforce and marketing automation software integrations (Pardot) strongly preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, PR, advertising, marketing, or related field required
