Safety And Project Coordinator

Force Mechanical Corp is a well-established Lower Mainland plumbing company working with some of the best builders in the province. We specialize in new wood frame multi-family construction and we have an immediate opening for a Project/Safety Coordinator.

This role will work out of our head office currently located in Abbotsford, BC and includes both project coordination and safety coordination.

Project coordination includes assisting our Project Management team with the administration on multiple projects, inputting information into ProCore, assisting with tenders, booking inspections, permitting, etc.

Safety coordination includes maintenance of our existing comprehensive OH&S program, updating and/or creation of manuals, policies, and safe work procedures, and WSBC incident reporting/communication.This position also works closely with the safety teams of our builders in partnership on new initiatives, improvements, etc.There is an occasional need for site visits and inspections – a company vehicle is supplied for such visits.

Hours for this position are 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, and location is our head office.We are currently located in Abbotsford, BC, but moving later this fall to our new location at Gloucester Business Park in Langley.

Qualifications

Organized and efficient

Strong written & verbal communication

Ability to work well as a team and interact with different groups of people

Solid ability to multi-task

Minimum Level 1 First Aid - Level 2 training will be provided

Understanding of OH&S guidelines and safety regulations

A valid drivers’ license with a clean drivers abstract– company vehicle supplied for work related travel

Some construction site experience

Software needs include:

·MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

·ProCore (preferred but not required)

·AutoCAD (preferred but not required)

·Bluebeam
