Job Description

New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking a Project Manager to help our client support the implementation of Oracle/Cerner Millennium solutions at multiple sites. This position will work closely with the project team, other project managers, and vendor to build, manage, and update on status of the work effort during the implementation.


Responsibilities:


  • Submit regular status reports to the PMO, Program Management, and Program Steering Committee
  • The execution of the project plan and day-to-day aspects of the project
  • Facilitate/coordinate project communications
  • Liaise with other project managers
  • Issues and risks identified for the project
  • Coordinate efforts and resources with various vendors
  • Escalate significant issues that cannot be resolved by the Project Team
  • Perform project management processes as per PMO standards
  • Current and forecast resource usage
  • Identify and manage organizational change requirements for the project working with the clinical informatics lead
  • Schedule and chair Project Team meetings
  • Project financials (budgeted, planned and spent)
  • Develop/manage project plans (budget, schedule, risk, etc.) with input from Team Members and other stakeholders
  • Manage Project Team performance of project tasks
  • Secure acceptance and approval of deliverables from the Sponsor and Stakeholders
  • Document all findings and recommendations
  • Manage project scope change processes, and acquire approvals as required
  • Maintain and update program status reports and dashboard
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Transition project deliverables to Operations (Production Turnover/PTO)
  • Control, track and report on:


Requirements:


  • 10+ years of experience in project management, and facilitating and managing consultation processes with a wide range of stakeholder groups
  • Project Management Professional designation is preferred
  • Working knowledge and experience with Agile as well as Waterfall project management concepts practices, and deliverables
  • Exceptional MS Office and MS Project skills
  • Ability to coordinate, prioritize and complete multiple tasks
  • Solid understanding of how various technologies fit together in an ecosystem to deliver services
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain concepts and topics in layman’s terms to non-subject matter experts and build consensus and credibility among diverse stakeholder groups
  • Experience implementing Oracle Cerner in a Canadian healthcare system
  • Experience completing at least three (3) major Oracle Cerner implementations
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to effectively navigate and deliver results in a large and complex environment
