What's the Role all About?
As part of the Project Delivery Team and the Project Engineer you will lead multi-disciplinary projects through planning, tracking, and coordinating resources, scope, and budgets to successfully deliver to project stakeholders. As the multi-disciplinary lead in a project, you will work with starting concepts and requirements and plan to realize them through the development of engineering and design tasks and activities, carried out by engineering leads and designers of each respective discipline, ensuring cohesive project delivery. As a key and integral part of this position, you will ensure technical and scope accuracy is accomplished and that project objectives are met.
What do you get to do everyday?
- Conduct Site walk throughs and inspections
- Manage client's expectations with a clear understanding of the client’s technical, financial, and performance objectives
- Manage change management on projects
- Control quality of deliverables, submittals and SOP fulfilment
- Prepare project documents – project plans, scope documents, RFI’s, extra-scope forms, CWPs, and meeting minutes to project stakeholders
- Conduct research and feasibility studies such as energy efficiency, process, and facility improvements
- Develop project requirements with development of design concepts and ideas
- Review and develop project objectives with respect to performance and regulatory requirements
- Develop engineering scopes of work documents with specific design criteria to direct discipline engineers and designers to carry out project tasks
What we are looking for...
- Knowledge and understanding of industrial processes, plants, and facilities
- Familiarity with applicable code such as BCBC, ASHRAE, ASME, OHS, and other relevant code and standards
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure, with Impeccable attention to detail and organization skills
- Capable of critical thinking, long-term system planning, design, and analysis to ensure project success
- Excellent facilitation, meeting management, written and verbal communication skills
- Strong understanding and application of engineering codes, standards, and best practices
- Strong understanding of scope, time, risk, and quality management
- Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and provide oversight work of the team
- Well-rounded and diverse knowledge base in a variety of engineering and technical disciplines
What do we need from you ?
- Degree in mechanical, industrial, or facilities engineering,
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in consulting, engineering design, or EPCM environment
- Must have a passion for learning and understanding new industries and projects
- Previous experience in service delivery of multidisciplinary engineering
- Own Vehicle /Ability to commute/relocate:
- Must live in BC and be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
- EIT or P. Eng, considered an asset
- Starting salary range will be depending on the relevance of experience and immediate potential contribution
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
