Job Description

Job Title: Project Manager


:

Brunel, a leading global workforce services provider in the LNG industry, is seeking a highly capable and results-driven Project Manager.


As the Project Manager, you will be a pivotal part of the organization, overseeing and coordinating various aspects of LNG projects, from conception to completion. Your responsibilities will encompass the production, transportation, and distribution of liquefied natural gas.


The project you will be involved in is currently in the engineering and procurement phase, with construction set to commence in late 2023. Reporting directly to the Project Director, your expertise will be instrumental in supporting the engineering and senior management team throughout the construction phase.


Key Responsibilities:

As the successful candidate, you will:

  • Ensure strict adherence to company policies, oil and gas industry codes, safety standards, regulatory requirements, environmental guidelines, and quality protocols within your designated areas of responsibility.
  • Skillfully manage scopes of work, procurement, subcontracts, logistics, interfaces, cost, schedule, risks, and change management to deliver the project within budget and schedule for the respective areas under your purview.
  • Foster strong relationships with indigenous groups, business partners, regulatory agency personnel, and local contractors to create a collaborative and positive project execution environment.
  • Manage all assigned aspects of project execution, including project management, engineering, procurement, construction, project controls, HSSEQ, interfaces with external parties, regulatory and compliance matters, and leading specific task forces and company initiatives.
  • Develop and implement tailored project plans and procedures that align with the overall project execution plans and procedures.
  • Supervise and lead the project management team, comprising members from various locations, including Vancouver , Houston and the project site in Squamish.
  • Oversee the activities of EPC contractors, consultants, other local contractors, and subcontractors onsite.
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting on project progress to the Project Director and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate effectively with the regulatory and relations team, Project Management Team (PMT), regulatory bodies, indigenous groups, and local contractors to facilitate the development, submission, and approval of all Canadian Federal, Provincial, and Local permits required to ensure the seamless execution of the project.


Required Experience:


To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, or a related technical field.
  • A minimum of 15 years of progressively responsible experience in managing major capital projects within the oil and gas industry, with a proven track record in project management, project controls, engineering, construction, and commissioning across various execution phases.
