Job Description
Description
This role is for someone who excels at explaining intricate technical information to the non-technical user. You will be a good fit for this position if you are an individual who is most productive in an active and positive environment. If you think you have these qualities, Robert Half has a Desktop Support Technician role that may be the position for you. If you are a motivated candidate with effective problem-solving abilities, this could be the job for you. This Desktop Support Analyst role is a long-term contract / temporary opportunity based in the North York, Ontario, area.
How you will make an impact
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with ticket submitters
  • Solve computer problems, and implement appropriate action/solutions
  • Supply computer desktop support in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Offer your support on a variety of computer hardware and software issues by identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems
  • Arrange hardware repairs with the appropriate vendors
  • Develop records of daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions taken or installation activities
  • Retain, investigate, and restore computer systems, hardware, printers, and computer peripherals
Requirements
  • Hardware Troubleshooting experience required
  • Microsoft Office 365 experience desired
  • Proficiency in Computer Hardware
  • Knowledgeable when it comes to writing reports, business correspondence, user instructions, and procedure manuals
  • 3+ years of desktop support or other related experience
