In collaboration with an outstanding team, the Global Brand & Communications Manager will contribute to building global brand awareness & reputation for Manulife. This role will partner with various global stakeholders to support embedding Brand & Creative Excellence into our DNA.


Lead Global Communications & Activation Plans


Reporting to the reporting to the Director of Global Brand , this role will build and oversee end-to-end program management from planning to reporting. This includes facilitating the coordination and collaboration across agency and internal partners. Areas of focus include:


  • This is a highly collaborative role, partnering with the Global Brand Program Manager, Project Managers, leadership team, Global communications, agency partners and segments to ensure the right messages are being communicated in the right format at the right cadence to the right audience. This includes the activation of Manulife’s first Global Brand Strategy and raising the bar on Creative Excellence across the organization.
  • This role will lead the development of Global Brand’s communications, training and activation plans and materials to support the delivery of our strategic and BAU OKRs.
  • Brand Hub is the global one source of truth for all things Brand. This is a key resource for the activation, evolution, and consistency of our Brand. This role will lead the Brand Hub Integrated Agency Team (IAT) and associated deliverables including assets, guidelines, and resources. This role is focused on creating efficiencies in the way we work, evolution of the Brand Hub content/experience, and increasing adoption globally.
  • One key audience for communications includes the Global Marketing Leadership team and Global CMO. This role will be responsible for managing the development of monthly executive reports in collaboration with team (MMR, OKR).


Global creative agencies: Operations and relationships:


  • Develop Program to assess Global Creative Agency Partnerships and ensure we have the right partners and skillsets to meet our evolving business needs.
  • The Global Brand team is responsible for the management of our AORs globally. This role will be responsible for developing and maintaining action plans to ensure optimal service, standing up a program to manage our relationship health, operations, and ways of working globally. This will be done in collaboration with segments, agency leadership, and our IAT.

What We Are Looking For


  • Solid knowledge of the financial and insurance landscape.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Post-secondary education with a focus on Marketing/Communications.
  • Collaborative individual who thrives in a team-based environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage market research and agency partners.
  • Solid organizational and change management skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills, including preparing and delivering quality presentations.
  • Excellent program management skills, with ability to handle simultaneous projects and deliver agreed upon timelines.
  • 5+ years of Marketing experience, with a strong understanding and appreciation for effective communication.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong business relationship among varied cross functional groups.
  • Results oriented analytical thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.

Salary & Benefits


The annual base salary for this role is listed below.


Primary Location


Toronto, Ontario


Salary range is expected to be between


$82,500.00 CAD - $148,500.00 CAD
