  • What will your typical day look like?
    The Global Communications Media Relations Lead will play a key role in differentiating Deloitte externally through robust media relations activities. As a member of the Deloitte Global Communications team, which is a key part of the Deloitte Global Growth organization, this position will be responsible for preparing media materials (press releases, talking points, media briefings) for internal and external use as well as supporting media interviews in global markets with a specific focus on the issues that are most relevant to Deloitte clients.
    • Work across all Deloitte geographies and regions, collaborating with member firm communications professionals, to identify, prioritize, secure, and support earned, owned, paid and shared media opportunities that differentiate Deloitte and demonstrate our depth of expertise on issues and topics important to our clients
    • Develop and maintain media distributions lists
    • Develop and execute media strategies to support global clients, industry, and sector launches. This includes drafting materials such as press releases, blogs and op-eds for publication on earned, owned, paid and shared content platforms
    • Ensure global business issues and priorities are carried forward with a clear and consistent voice through media interviews, appearances and platforms that demonstrate Deloitte’s capabilities and expertise in the minds of clients, talent, and external stakeholders
    • Coordinate with a wide variety of internal stakeholders and external PR counsel to schedule media interviews for Deloitte leaders and implement Brand, Comms and Marketing campaigns
    • Uncover media opportunities that amplify Deloitte’s point of view on key industry topics and issues that are top of mind for Deloitte clients
    • Maintain a record of all communications campaigns and initiatives
    • Develop communication materials such as key messages, talking points and briefing documents to assist member firm communications professionals with local promotion of global content

    You are someone with:
    • Experience developing and executing creative, clutter-busting communications strategies for traditional media, social media, blogs, and other communications vehicles
    • Deep knowledge of and experience with corporate web and social media platforms/tools to achieve marketing/communications objectives
    • Demonstrated PowerPoint skills
    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • Proven strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Minimum five years’ experience in organizational communications and/or corporate affairs experience; media outlet or PR agency experience is desirable
    • Ability to define appropriate communications performance indicators, report on success measures and evaluate metrics to enhance/improve communications activities and strategies
    • Knowledge of media environment
    • Exceptional attention to detail
    • Ability to think and work independently to carry forward projects from beginning to end
