CanadaHelps is looking for an innovative, goal-oriented, and focused Charity Engagement Specialist with a passion for social change to join our team. Note - This role will be Greater Toronto Area based due to requirements of hybrid work (both in office & remote)
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Keeping all records of activity logged in CRM - if it isn’t logged, it didn’t happen.
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of CanadaHelps products and services.
- Prospecting and updating all records in the CRM to identify partners to register with CanadaHelps and use our custom donation forms.
- Determining the best course of action for partners, leading them to next steps, whether that’s our Custom Donation Forms, P2P, Events or Donor Management System.
- Listening, asking questions, and sometimes challenging charity partners in order to support them in upping their digital and fundraising game.
- On a daily basis, reaching out by phone to as many charities as you can, meeting them where they are at and helping them on their digital journey, focusing primarily on our most transformational tool: our custom donation forms.
- Uncovering and recording key pieces of information in order to identify how we may best serve partner charities.
- Respond in a timely manner to emails from charities.
- Be an excellent team member and contribute to the development of the Charity Engagement team through constant engagement, questioning and ideation.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and excellence of the Charity Engagement team through constant engagement, questioning, and ideation.
- Prospecting to identify ideal partners for CanadaHelps’ various products and services.
- An average, make about 30 calls a day to partner and non-partner charities to sell our custom donation forms and register charities with the CanadaHelps platform.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bilingual. The ability to speak both English and French fluently.
- 1-2 years of sales experience, preferably in selling to small and medium-sized businesses.
