Summary
The Training Specialist is responsible for the delivery of Bell training and support multiple channels including Bell, Virgin and The Source. The design, development, evaluation and project management are also important components of the Training Specialist role. Curriculum includes, but not limited to: sales skills, customer service, products and services, systems and processes. Training Specialists customize existing training programs and validate that training programs are instructionally sound and effective for the target audiences. Training Specialists have strong interpersonal and communication skills for a variety of delivery channels including classroom, web conference delivery, e-learning and train the trainer.
Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate training at small and large events (F2F, vILT)
  • Complete needs analysis of sales channels and offer proactive training solutions
  • Collaborate with Stores, Dealers, Sales and Marketing teams to provide timely training delivery to improve the sales effectiveness of the channels
  • Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc)
  • Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content
  • Measure and follow up on all training designed to track training effectiveness
  • Provide regular project updates, and ensure the timely completion of deliverables
  • Analyze and apply trends and best practices in learning technologies and instructional design
Critical Qualifications
  • Previous working experience in instructional design
  • Ability to design and deliver facilitated learning and adoption programs.
  • Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio and video scripts
  • Lesson and curriculum planning skills
  • Training Specialists must have a proven training and presentation portfolio.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a project environment to produce deliverables within a specified timeframe and budget
  • Knowledge of the competitive telecommunication market
  • Experience facilitating learning to groups
  • Post secondary education in Adult Learning
  • Experience in a corporate environment
  • Bilingual communication skills are a significant asset
  • Understanding of adult learning principles
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office
  • Experience working with a Learning Management System
Additional Requirements
  • Willing to travel up to 20-30% of work time
  • Ability to work outside of normal business hours when necessary due to business needs.(evenings & weekends)
  • Bilingual communication skills (French/English)
