Job Description
Position Title: Senior Corporate Training Specialist


Department: Transition Management Office


Location: Toronto


Status: Fixed-term, Full-time - 12 Months (Hybrid)


Reporting to the Transition Management Office, the Corporate Training Specialist will be responsible for designing and facilitating integration procedure change and technical skills systems training workshops. We are looking for a proactive, experienced training professional to join our team.


Responsibilities:
  • Produce video content for internal systems training for power users and all staff.
  • Create professional training documentation.
  • Receive feedback and incorporate meaningful change to enhance future training for relevancy, comprehension, retention, and engagement.
  • Develop needs assessments, learning solutions and training programs.
  • Help identify training needs by understanding changes in processes/procedures and system selections, and design training content and programs to ensure staff have the understanding and skills required.
  • Create and facilitate advanced workshops (e.g., O365, document management and in-house developed platforms)
  • IT & software training:
  • Keep up with the day-to-day logistics of all training sessions, including communicating training details to employees and other administrative duties as required.
  • Collect and analyze feedback from training sessions and user experiences with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Maintain up to date, functional knowledge of company software, systems and workflows.
  • Collaborate and work closely with the Manager, Talent Acquisition and Development to ensure ongoing alignment with corporate training initiatives.


Education/Experience:


  • Change management experience an asset.
  • Experience in applying utilizing adult learning best practices and leveraging tools and technologies to deliver effective learning in a hybrid environment.
  • Knowledge and experience in Learning Management Systems
  • Undergraduate degree or college diploma
  • 5 years of corporate training experience
  • Industry knowledge would be an asset.
  • Experience using Microsoft Teams, O365, SharePoint, WebEx, and able to learn new platforms and software with ease.

  • Experience in E-learning
  • Experience in creating and delivering a variety of learning strategies and solutions.
  • Solid analytical, planning, negotiating, interpersonal skills and a high level of empathy are essential requirements.
  • Excellent presentation and training skills for individual and group situations.
  • Uses standardized evaluations to assess training impact/effectiveness and provides results
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with excellent attention to detail, and passion for innovation.
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to manage multiple projects.
