Senior Systems Testing/Quality Assurance Specialist On behalf of our client in the Government Services Sector, PROCOM is looking for a Senior Systems Testing/Quality Assurance Specialist.
Senior Systems Testing/Quality Assurance Specialist –

• As a Systems Testing/QA Specialist - Senior, you will be part of a dynamic team working on large scale enterprise systems
• Provide advice on testing strategy, test plans, selection of testing tools, and identification of resources required for testing
• Develop test plans, test scripts, and test cases, and execute these against various components
• Create testing strategy documentation, test plans, test cases, and test data for various types and phases of testing, including technical and business functional validation
• Work closely with the testing lead and IT lead of each project, as well as project team members in the analysis, design, development, implementation, and ongoing support of required systems
• Plan and organize testing efforts for large systems in both GUI and non-GUI environments, including executing systems integration tests, specialized tests, and user acceptance testing
• This role is part of a hybrid work arrangement, requiring you to work at least 2-3 days per week at our Toronto office
• Support user acceptance testing and participate in UAT activities

Senior Systems Testing/Quality Assurance Specialist – Mandatory Skills

• Knowledge and experience in REST API testing and in use of REST API to create test data and verify expected results
• Experience with designing, developing, and maintaining test cases based on industry best practices and standards
• Proven hands-on experience as a Functional tester for large scale enterprise systems
• Knowledge of one or more automated testing tools
• Understanding of relational Database technology and working experience with SQL in the context either test data preparation or expected result verification with one of the database management systems such as SQL Server or Oracle
• Experience with manual test execution and defect reporting, testing of various types of integration technologies
• A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines

Senior Systems Testing/Quality Assurance Specialist - Preferred Skills

• Experience testing Commercial Off-the Shelf Applications (COTS) like Curam
• Experience coding automated test scripts to produce sets of automated test cases
• Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies, and practices
• Knowledge and experience in at least one programming language
• Knowledge and understanding of testing methods in an object-oriented environment
• Proven hands-on experience with Curam Applications
• Experience planning and organizing testing efforts for both large and small systems
• Experience in the use of information retrieval packages
• Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards
