Quality Assurance Specialist Jobs

The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day duties and deliverables as follows:

· Participate in pre and post award/kick-off meetings ensuring QA requirements are clearly understood by Contractors/Suppliers. Attend and participate in Site Construction and QA meetings.

· Work closely with Contractor and Site personnel to ensure project compliance with the approved documents.

· Review Contractor's QC Program and documentation for the execution phases of the Project.

· Ensure review and acceptance of Trade Contractors/Suppliers QC Program, documentation, procedures, ITPs including verification of QC Program implementation by the Contractors.

· Review contract documents, scope of work and specifications to ensure quality requirements have been correctly translated into documents.

· Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of the Project Audit Plan and Schedule.

· Assist the Project by acting as Lead Auditor of assigned audits as required.

· Coordinate and/or conduct audits and QA surveillance with other QA Representative/Auditors as a team, identify weaknesses and gaps in documentation, implementation or execution of work, compile and issue reports, follow up findings, monitor close-out and maintain records.

· Coordinate and/or witness inspection/test or surveillance activities at site and fabrication yards with other QA/QC Representative/Auditors.

· Review, assess and monitor Contractors issued non-conformance and corrective action reports, establish trends and recommend corrective action. Raise non-conformance reports where necessary.

· Review Contractors/Suppliers inspection and test certifications, records and history dockets for conformance. Oversee construction certification so that all equipment and installations will be complete and ready to put in service for commissioning.

· Ensure QA/QC documentation and records are properly identified, indexed, legible, complete, acceptable, filed and stored for future retrieval.

· Liaise with the Execution Team’s Document Control to ensure deliverables meet project requirements.

Essential Skills / Qualifications & Assets:

· The successful candidate must have one or more of the following:

· 10+ years of Quality in the field experience on large capital projects and industrial plant sites.

· Previous experience with overseeing construction contractors to ensure completion and full certification of work scopes, equipment and installations are to their approved QC program.

· Quality Auditing experience based on ISO 9001-2000/ISO 19011 standards.

· Demonstrate proficiency in the use MS Excel & Outlook.

· Strong Organization and Communication Skills, both Written & Oral

· Comfortable working in a team-based environment while possessing the ability to manage and prioritize day to day duties and deliverables.

· Valid Class 5 driving license

· Safety focused in the field, ability to prioritize self and others
