Junior Security Assurance Analyst

What will I be doing?

• Policy Review: Participate in evaluating and updating information security policies and procedures to align with industry best practices. Ensure that team members are aware of and adhere to these policies
• Onboarding/Offboarding Team Members: Assist the HR team in ensuring secure and compliant onboarding and offboarding processes for our team members. This includes completing security onboardings, access reviews, and secure device management processes
• Information Security Awareness Training: Have ownership over our internal information security awareness training program across the company. Help educate employees about potential security threats, best practices, and the importance of maintaining a secure work environment
• Risk Management: Ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and relevant security standards by performing internal audits and reviews across systems. These standards may include SOC2, CASL, ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR
• Customer InfoSec Assessments: Respond to customer information security inquiries and assessments, demonstrating our commitment to safeguarding their data and maintaining their trust. Engage in effective communication with client InfoSec teams to address their concerns and provide necessary clarifications
• Third-Party Vendor Reviews: Conduct thorough assessments of third-party vendors' security practices to ensure they meet our security requirements.

What skills and experience do I need?

• Prior experience in security assurance or a related field is a plus but not required
• Experience with Vulnerability Management tools and remediation planning
• Familiarity with industry standards such as SOC 2, GDPR, NIST, and ISO/IEC 27001
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of information security principles and best practices
• Experience working in an Information Security role, preferably within the Financial Services industry. This includes data governance, regulatory frameworks, IT technologies, and policy management
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Experience supporting internal and external audits
• Educational background in Information Security, Cyber Security, or a related field
