Job Description

IT Security Analyst - Firewall Reviews/Approvals On behalf of our client in the Banking Sector, PROCOM is looking for an IT Security Analyst - Firewall Reviews/Approvals.
IT Security Analyst - Firewall Reviews/Approvals –


  • The IT Security Analyst role will be focused on Firewall port request reviews and approvals, including creation of security memos for sign off
  • Review Firewall port requests daily, this will include Cloud security (GCP, Azure)
  • Directly reporting to the Senior Manager, Information Security Advisor
  • Contractor will be working closely with the Network team, Security Advisory team and Business lines
  • Review Firewall port requests daily, this will include Cloud security (GCP, Azure)
  • Provide approvals and complete risk memos incase risk is identified
  • The Enterprise Technology Advisory Services team is responsible for assessing risk on technology changes and identify risk mitigating controls

IT Security Analyst - Firewall Reviews/Approvals – Mandatory Skills


  • 10+ years of working experience as an IT Security Analyst and Networking
  • CISSP Certification is required
  • Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills to be able to work well with technical peers and business stakeholders at different levels within the organization
  • Strong decision making, forward thinking and creative problem-solving skills to anticipate and respond quickly to technological/market influences
  • Post-secondary degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related IT field required
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience applying network security architecture principles
  • Ability to work as part of a team, as well as work independently or with minimal direction
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience and strong knowledge on traffic flows and firewall requests

IT Security Analyst - Firewall Reviews/Approvals – Preferred Skills


  • CEH Certification
  • Previous experience working with Algosec is an asset
  • Previous experience with Cloud security (GCP and Azure)
