As a Cybersecurity Senior Consultant with focus in application security, you’ll be on the front lines of building the future of information security at Deloitte. In your role you’ll assess projects for security risks and present mitigations and recommendations that allow the business to make informed decisions. You’ll provide insight and support to establish technical and administrative security controls and procedures that safeguard our Deloitte's and clients' data, enhance risk management, and enable our success.
What will your typical day look like?
You will have the following responsibilities:

• Work with stakeholders to develop and enhance policies, procedures, and risk management strategies to safeguard clients and enhance overall security.
• Identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses in the application architecture through application security assessments, code reviews, threat modeling, and vulnerability scanning.
• Perform in-depth IAC (infrastructure as code) assessment, above-and-beyond SAST and DAST scans to review applied security policies.
• Evaluate the application architecture for security issues and flaws - e.g., network security issues, IAM misconfigurations and overly permissive grants, encryption and key management, against organization's security standards.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated security tools into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Conduct application SSDLC reviews, including network security, IAM controls, and application security assessments in a hybrid multi-vendor cloud environment.
• Perform Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST), Static Application Security Testing (SAST), and Software Composition Analysis (SCA).
• Assess the effectiveness of Identity and Access Management (IAM) controls, access controls, and user management processes.
• Provide recommendations and guidance to improve the security posture of application architectures.
• Provide training and awareness to the application development teams about the benefits of web application layer protection services, including demonstrating exploits of confirmed security vulnerabilities.
• Review security scan results and work closely with the development team to prioritize security vulnerabilities identified using a risk-based approach.

About The Team
You will be working among the champions in our cybersecurity team, reporting into the Senior Manager of IT Security, and having direct visibility at senior leadership level across the organization.

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Security with industry experience of at least 3 years.
• Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes etc.)
• IAC (Terraform, CloudFormation etc.)
• Ability to effectively articulate application security issues to broad spectrum of audience - developers to project managers to senior leadership, as well as develop strong relationships across various levels of an organization.
• Competency in understanding complex application environments - comprising of applications developed on modern technologies such as
• Strong hands-on experience in assessing multi-vendor cloud environments (AWS, Azure and GCP), awareness of service offerings of the vendors; and security evaluation and hardening requirements of them.
• Good-to-have/aspiring for: GWAPT or GCPN
• Strong desire to learn more and having a career vision of a security architect.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in application security concepts such as secure coding, design, development, industry application security standards and best practices.
• Proficiency in identifying and remediating common web application vulnerabilities, including OWASP Top 10.
• Serverless compute (Lambda functions, Azure functions etc.)
• Automation and CI/CD technologies (Jenkins, Chef, Ansible, Puppet, Azure DevOps etc.)
• Understanding of security code issues for JEE/.NET/JS/HTML/JSP/ASP/Python applications.
• Certifications
• Additional experience in software development with solid knowledge of all phases of SDLC is an asset.
• Desired: Working towards OSCP + Security Engineer/Associate/Architect level certificate from a leading cloud vendor (AWS, Azure or GCP)
• Demonstrated experience in using application security testing tools to perform static, dynamic code analysis, and penetration testing.
