Role Accounmtabilities
Reporting to Manager, Professional Services, the Consultant, ICT Systems Architecture (Networking & Security) is responsible to gather requirements, assess, identify, and solve network and security related engagements in IT infrastructure environments.
The Consultant will broadly address systems, security and network related activities such as risk assessments, infrastructure assessments & Campus network and security architectures. The Consultant should be able to communicate effectively at various levels of enterprise, both internally and externally.
Duties And Responsibilities

• Develop, design, maintain and support network and security architectures while following a structured solution development/design methodology
• Analyze and Develop system access policies, developing firewalls and cyber security risk measures and testing systems to ensure security measures are in place
• Research, evaluate and recommend/POC new technologies for Clients for network and security domains
• Provide guidance to staff on technology issues when needed
• Create written reports and documentations and present them to various stakeholders
• Liaise with Sales and support groups for Client related needs and projects
• Perform hands-on support for various systems, networking and security technologies

Qualifications

• CCNA/CCNP Route & Switch/Security; Security certifications are considered an asset
• Minimum 2-3 years of industry experience
• Network Management tools like PRTG, Nagios, Solarwinds/Manage Engine, Cisco management tools etc.
• Vulnerability Scanners: (Nessus/Tenable) will be an asset
• Cloud knowledge (M365, Azure, AWS etc) will be an asset
• Experience with the following:
• Firewalls: Cisco, Checkpoint, Fortinet etc.
• Aruba/Silverpeak products experience will be an asset
• High-end servers & OS (Windows, Linux etc)
• Experience and certifications with Microsoft Windows Server Environment
• Experience in providing network (wired & wireless) management & security architecture, design, implementation, and support for various IT environments
• Cisco/Meraki: Routers, Switches
• University Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Management Systems or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Virtualization experience with VMWare/Hyper-V/KVM. Certifications will be an asset

• A Valid Driver’s License and access to vehicle is required
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Travel is required
• Self-directed, and efficient at managing multiple simultaneous projects/priorities
• Ability to adapt to and learn new software and hardware related tools and infrastructure
• Excellent teamwork and customer service skills
• Acceptable Criminal Record Check
• Ability to work in a fast- paced environment
