For a journey this exciting and complex, we’re looking for a personable Digital Senior Business & Systems Analyst who will join an agile team. Someone who can combine expert business analysis skills, a strong technical acumen, a strategic mindset, diplomatic facilitation, and leadership skills to elicit and build requirements that enable exceptional solutions for business partners across Sun Life’s business organizations.

What will you do?

• Partner with business stakeholders, vendors, leaders, application development and testing teams to ensure quality solutions that meet the needs and expectations of our business partners and clients.
• Champion the B&SA role by actively promoting learning across the Chapter and contribute to the continuous improvement of the practice by leading initiatives.
• Establish and maintain trusted advisory roles with clients by gathering and analyzing information to provide recommendations that address and resolve business issues.
• Stay current with trends in emerging technologies and how they could apply to Sun Life Financial
• Understand the technical and operational challenges and objectives that may impact the rollout of an application/process. Use that to drive discussions about solutions and risk mitigation.

• An analytical individual who is comfortable with data requirements and related data activities
• An organized individual who keeps track of multiple work streams and their related risks and dependencies
• A strong communicator who listens and picks-up on the spoken and unspoken words to excel at delivering, understanding, and interpreting messages through verbal discussions and in writing.
• A strategic thinker who appropriately applies a variety of planning, analysis, elicitation, modelling, and documentation techniques to accurately define technical information and communicate in business language, requirements to help successfully deliver on initiatives.
• An expert in the application of business & systems analysis core competencies with 7 to 10 years of digital experience
• A talented facilitator who is skilled in negotiation and influencing.
• A collaborative team member who continuously strives to improve the client experience, our team, and our processes.
• As this position is posted in several locations, we specify that bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec only as the position reports to a unilingual English-speaking manager outside Quebec.
• A mentor for both peers and junior colleagues.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of and experience working with APIs
• Experience with Agile, writing technical user stories
• Knowledge of the financial services industry.
• Knowledge of Third-Party Vendors
• Knowledge of Insurance and/or Wealth products and business operations.
• A College or University degree, preferably in Information Technology, Business Systems Analysis, or equivalent experience.
• A Business Analysis professional certification or working towards.
• Experience with Organizational Change Management.
• Experience with analysis and modelling for both processes and data.
• Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• A technical aptitude and curiosity in Digital Technology

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
