FINANCE BUSINESS SYSTEMS MANAGER

POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for creating a dedicated support structure to drive the development of Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) solution, Support Financial Reporting, Financial Planning and Analysis, and other teams with Business Service Requests associated with the tool as well as supporting ongoing maintenance with the solution.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
· Lead the development of EPM over the near and long-range term to meet the goal of a world class system.
· Identifying business needs and prioritizing development opportunities associated with EPM.
· Develop month over month, current year, and long-term planning associated with the EPM development.
· Work with leaders of cross functional teams, external consultants, and other stakeholders to refine plans.
· Leading multiple complex projects, develop and work to detailed plans associated with EPM-specific initiatives.
· Leading acceptance testing of new business systems and system enhancements to ensure system functions in accordance with detailed specifications.
· Maintain current documentation associated with EPM (architecture, specifications, etc.).
· Communicate progress, including weekly updates, steering committee presentations, etc.
· Coordinate EPM initiatives work assignments with direct reports and other teammates.
· Work with Senior Manager Finance Business Systems(FBS) to coordinate resource allocation across EPM initiatives and support all FBS initiatives (both EPM and non-EPM) as required.
· Leading continuous improvements and provide direction to the Finance team through lean principles.
· Developing and applying team’s Standard Operating Procedures.
· Provide leadership to team members and peers through collaboration.
· Responsible for ensuring all key controls (ICFR Internal Controls) identified under their area of responsibility are designed and operating as outlined in the internal controls over financial reporting.
· Ensure policies and processes are established and adhered to ensure goals and objectives for all regulatory and legal requirements are met including organizational quality, environmental, health & safety programs.
· Provide direction and support for ad-hoc financial reporting requirements
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
· Post-secondary education in Finance or Accounting.
· CA, CGA, CMA, CPA designation is an asset.
· Minimum of 5 years' experience in enterprise or accounting business systems.
· Knowledge of Oracle EPM is an asset.
Extensive knowledge of business process redesign or re-engineering.
· System configuration and development knowledge is required.
· Project management and business analysis training is an asset.
· Strong computer skills (MS Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
· Exceptional planning, organization, analytical, interpersonal, leadership and decision-making skills.
· Travel up to 15%
