Position Title: Business Consultant – Expert

Length of Contract: 6 months (Possibility of extension and conversion)

Remote/Toronto,Ontario

Hours of Operation: 8:30am - 5pm

Line of Business: Global Technology Solutions

Role Responsibilities (including but are not limited to):

• Ability to present and speak to senior management and executives in operation and steering committees
• Detail oriented, analytical and capable of investigating complex/technical issues
• Elicit and document business requirements, risks and priorities to establish a clear understanding of the stakeholder's environment in support of solution development.
• Analyze and interpret business requirements and perform current/target/gap/impact analysis
• Strong knowledge of requirements/design methodology
• Ensure the traceability of individual requirements and adherence to the defined requirements
• Achieve consensus on scope changes and sign off by all stakeholders
• Validate that the proposed solutions and associated testing approach will support and meet the articulated business requirements.
• Documenting and providing end user training
• Providing and reviewing solution designs and supporting project planning to execution phase
• Prior experience with Fixed Income trading systems (BondOne/Bloomberg TOMS/Bondfire)
• SQL experience a strong asset

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Bloomberg Communications experience is a must
• 7-8 years of experience in similar role
• Bloomberg TOMS ADMIN experience

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Previous FI / banking experience
• BondOne - legacy fixed income trading system (CAD) - would be very valuable
• Repo experience

Supplier Call Notes:

• Day-to-day business as usual activities, new client reports, potentially larger initiatives – long term project that would see migration over legacy fixed income systems
• Assist in production support when Global Support Team has escalations, or when Help Desk is exploring new functions
• Experience supporting a desk, project perspective working for development, writing requirements, and regulatory performance going on in the industry
• Individual will be working on various deliverables
• SQL Experience is an asset
• Establishing connectivity from Bloomberg to other systems
• Regulatory change projects - anything market / risk or integration with downstream systems (obtaining the data they require)

Soft Skills:

• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Task and prioritization skills
