Munich Re’s IT Risk and Security Identity and Access Management team is responsible for the processes to manage identities, entitlements and privileged access in our global organization. The Munich Re group cyber program ‘RISEnext’ shall bring the organization to a higher maturity level – the ONE Group Cyber Ambition. We are therefore looking for a highly qualified information security expert with professional experience in Identity and Access Management processes. The Senior IT Risk & Security Risk Specialist for Identity and Access Governance is part of the global ITRS Identity and Access Management team. The ITRS Service Delivery organization supports all entities in the global Munich Re reinsurance segment. This position has the responsibility to consult and communicate on IT security strategies, guidelines and standards. It works closely with IT Business Solution and IT Business Technology Teams and provides guidance and advise in the area of Identity and Access Management. The IT Senior Risk & Security Specialist will be responsible for Segregation of Duties a product owner and subject matter expert (SME) role and support the stakeholders in the global Munich RE organization.


Your Job:


  • Support internal and external audits
  • Provide advice and guidance to line managers across the organization up to board level to resolve or mitigate SoD conflicts in their area of responsibility
  • Establish metrics and reporting to monitor the risk exposure and establish processes to act on the results
  • Manages the life cycle of SoD rules including training and communication campaigns
  • Establishes / develops guidelines and controls together with the global ITRS Identity and Access Management team
  • Consult application owners on the appropriate classification of their applications
  • Consult business and application teams on Identity and Access management norms and standards
  • Define processes and standards for cross-application Segregation of Duties (SoD) conflict detection and remediation in close collaboration with Munich RE’s risk management function


Your Profile:
  • Expert knowledge in

  • Demonstrated ability to oversee and handle multiple requests at the same time
  • Confidence in engaging with senior (business) stakeholders
  • Identity and Access Management
  • Data Protection and Privacy principles and practices
  • IT/Cyber Security
  • University degree with more than 5 years of professional background as an IT Security & Risk Specialist in the respective area
  • Deep understanding of regulatory requirements and control frameworks (NIST) in the area of Identity and Access Management
  • Calmness and clarity of thought under pressure, ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Extensive expertise in relevant laws and regulations, applicable to financial service organizations/reinsurers
  • Applicable Risk or Security-based certifications
  • Financial services industry and IT audit experience is strongly favoured
  • Privileged Access Management
  • Proven experience in successfully managing relevant business and partner relationships, including in transformation programs
