Niche Technology designs, develops, supports, and implements an advanced police Records Management System (RMS). Our current offering, NicheRMS, covers the full breadth of police operations as standard, out-of-the-box functionality that is available now and in live production use. It is a single, integrated operational police information management platform—all police data is organized into a single, accessible source with a set of core building blocks. Niche Technology Inc. is a privately-owned Canadian corporation, established in 1992, that is owned and managed by its founders. Niche has subsidiaries in the UK and the US serving projects in the UK, Canada, Australia, and the US.
Our development office is based in Winnipeg, MB. We have had next to zero turnover in our development group, resulting in a stable and highly experienced team. We are looking for an innovative Junior Quality Assurance Analyst, reporting to the Lead QA Analyst and Lead Developer to join this team.
Skills:
- Strong multitasking skills to transition efficiently between projects.
- Prior experience with SQL, SQL Server, and Microsoft Visual Studio.
- Experience testing API’s and web services interfaces for integrations.
- Experience with accessibility testing or willingness to learn.
- Problem-solving skills to find solutions for various quality issues.
- Ability to work independently or within a team.
- Time management and organizational proficiency.
- Analytical with a strong attention to detail.
- Experience testing web, mobile and client/server applications.
Characteristics and Responsibilities:
- Open to asking for assistance to solve problems.
- Excellent written and oral communication.
- Maintain the company’s quality assurance practices and procedures.
- Ambitious, eager to learn with a strong aptitude for technology.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Testing execution and reporting.
Education/Experience:
- College Diploma or University Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Previous experience a plus.
