About the Role
Teranet is currently looking for a contract QA Analyst. You will be testing Foster Moore’s software applications prior to their release to ensure the developed application meets specifications. You will ensure that defects/issues found are accurately logged, tracked and resolved.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Keep track of advancements in the industry to ensure that the company is developing leading edge products and services, and that the testing systems are as up to date and rigorous as possible.
- Provide input into production support issues as requested by the Production Support team.
- Provide general production support and specific incident analysis and resolution as required
- Execute test plans, monitor test execution and ensure that sufficient testing is carried out prior to go-live.
- Make suggestions for and delivery of positive change within the Test team and the supported production environments.
- Highlight project risks in a timely manner providing appropriate suggestions to mitigate the risk.
- Offer and or promote alternative technical solutions to business problems.
- Provide pre-sales and post sales technical support to clients and others from time to time as required.
- Create accurate and high-quality reports in a timely manner
- Liaise with business users, business analysts and developers to ensure that planned testing meets project requirements.
About You
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to ask questions, challenge assumptions and be challenged in return
- Strong analytical skills and ability to read and understand formal technical specifications.
- Exposure working in a scrum environment and working with JIRA
- Excellent problem-solving ability and attention to detail
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable
- Experience in non-functional testing (ex: Performance Testing, Accessibility Testing, etc.)
- Capable of motivating and energizing others and relationship building
- Experienced in functional testing across different test levels: component, integration, system, acceptance, and data migration
- Degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent experience
- Experience in automated webservice testing
- Experience in UI automation testing, webservice testing (using tools like SOAPUI)
- Knowledge on Continuous integration tools
- Experience across all activities in a testing process including test planning, analysis and design, implementation and execution as well as evaluation exit criteria and reporting
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in functional testing, system testing and system integration testing including test automation
- Willingness to learn new technology skills to keep pace with the improvements of the testing process
- Exposure setting up and maintaining an automation test framework
- Faster learner – quick at picking up new concepts
- ISTQB would be beneficial
