Senior Corporate Quality Engineer

ABC Technologies’ core business as an Automotive Tier 1 supplier is in the Design, Development and Production of plastic automotive systems and components for OEMs worldwide.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Reporting to the Senior Quality Systems Manager, the Senior Corporate Quality Engineer will give direction, recommendations, and guidance to plants for their compliance to customer & ABC Technologies’ quality requirements and directives.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Conduct follow-up activities to verify corrective actions are implemented.
• Assist plants in problem solving critical customer issues.
• Identify the weaknesses in the manufacturing processes that impact the quality of product.
• Monitor that standardized processes are being effectively implemented.
• Conduct Global Manufacturing System (GMS) audits at plant level.
• To become knowledgeable with the assigned customers, commodities, company standards and plants.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Good problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in dealing with major OEM’s, GM, Ford, Chrysler, Toyota, Honda.
• Experience with planning and carrying out projects.
• Knowledge and experience with application of Statistical tools, variable/attribute charting, DOE, Regression Analysis, Six Sigma projects.
• Experience as a “change agent”.
• Working experience with APQP, FMEA, PPAP, MSA, SPC & GD&T
• IATF Lead Auditor training.
• 10 years of Quality Engineering in the automotive industry.
• Training in Core Tools and knowledge of Customer Specific Requirements.
• Experience in blow/injection molding process.
• Good communication and people skills.

• Takes personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work and achieves results with no oversight, including following guidelines, standards regulations, and principles.
• Must be floor savvy and be able to not only facilitate projects, but also dig in and perform Quality Improvement activities.
• Focuses on desired outcomes and how to best achieve them. Gets the job done efficiently and effectively.
• Maintains accuracy, positive attitude, and an open mind in the event of changes in business needs, conditions, or work responsibilities.
