The Position



  • Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the development of learning, training, and development programs while delivering talent initiatives across the organization.
  • This 6-month contract role is perfect for a high-potential professional who is eager to develop their career in learning and training, particularly focusing on future of work and a culture wellbeing and sustainable high performance.
  • As a Learning Design and Facilitation Specialist within the Learning & Development unit of our Talent & Culture team, you will have a unique opportunity to contribute to Plan International Canada's Talent Plan, aimed at enabling a thriving organization.
  • Your alignment with training, learning and communications strategies will be crucial as you demonstrate impact through the delivery of key training programs, learning initiatives, and evaluation and measurement activities.
  • In this role, you will collaborate with various stakeholders, designing content, facilitating training sessions, and contributing to process improvement and coaching efforts.


What does success look like?



  • Continuously evaluate learning materials and experiences, making improvements to enhance effectiveness.
  • Identify and recommend continuous improvements for training systems and processes, ensuring the development and evaluation of courses.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify employee learning and training needs and identify opportunities for performance improvement.
  • Collaborate with department leads to design, develop, and maintain learning content, contributing innovative approaches to the learning function.
  • Coordinate, plan, and implement staff and department trainings and events.


As our ideal candidate you will have:



  • Demonstrated success in building productive working relationships with diverse colleagues to support organizational priorities and initiatives.
  • Knowledge and experience with Learning Management Systems (SAP experience is considered an asset).
  • Experience in creating and delivering various learning content, strategies and solutions.
  • Experience and passion for facilitation.
  • Experience developing needs assessments, learning solutions, and training programs.
