Training And Development Advisor

Are you a training specialist that loves to be a part of big impactful projects? Kelly is looking for a Training and Development Advisor to be a part of our team and work with our world-renowned oil and gas industry client in North York, Toronto. This project is an enterprise-wide, transformational program that will be one of the biggest in North America.

This role will play an integral part in leading all training activities for end-users and performance support – ensuring that this technical implementation project runs seamlessly and with optimal stakeholder adoption.

Location: North York, Toronto, Ontatio (Open to candidates in Chatham, On/Edmonton, AB or Calgary AB)

Duration: 18 month contract (Approx August 2023 - February 2025)

Specific Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with functional leads, process owners, change management
• Effectiveness measurement, drafting, and implementing measurement tools
• Build and review training deliverables
• Provide overall leadership to the training team
• Business Unit sustainment approach and Governance
• Oversee training delivery and logistics
• Identify potential and actual risks to OCM plans and propose mitigations
• Developing, maintaining, and implementing training strategy and delivery approach
• Conducting training needs analysis, understanding the impacts on stakeholders groups and roles
• Curriculum and training materials development
• Define resource workload allocation
• Post-go-live training, including performance reports
• Manage any 3rd party vendor relationships related to training and support functionality

Scope/Dimensions:

• Streamlining all work processes enterprise-wide into one, Oracle Cloud and Maximo
• Decision-making authority and higher stress levels as the work is highly visible and deadline-driven
• Lead and provide direction to other team members

Qualifications:

• Preferably 10 years of experience
• Advanced knowledge of training software for systems and process training, including eLMS, authoring tools (Articulate Storyline), content development, and performance support
• ADDIE Methodology or similar instructional design practices
• Experience leading large transformational training projects
• Related university degree and/or professional designation post-secondary degree (Business, Education, HR, or related)
• 5+ years of designing, leading, and executing training plans for large-scale projects
• Strong computer skills, Microsoft products, web delivery tools, and other e-learning supports

Great-to-Have:

• PROSCI or PMP
• Experience with ERP projects such as Oracle Cloud or Maximo
• Adult Education certification or related
