Job Description

Position Scope


Work within the Learning & Development team to provide a suite of internal and external training. The role of the Learning & Development Assistant will be to help and assist the L&D team and provide support in implementing learning and talent development programs in CMiC. Individuals applying for this position must have impeccable organizational skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to adapt to growing and changing content


Duties & Responsibilities


  • Maintain records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and provide reports to manager as required
  • Assist L&D specialists in needs analyses, curriculum planning, and design of learning experiences
  • Maintain training database to stay current and refreshed as required
  • Attend meetings and prepare and distribute notes/minutes post-session
  • Work with L&D specialists and Instructional Designers to develop measurement strategies, and to collect and analyze feedback and data to identify improvements to the learning experience
  • Assist with other tasks as required to support L&D projects and initiatives
  • Set up and maintain new and existing users and groups in CMiC Academy and perform other LMS activities as required
  • Schedule training events, coordinate with instructors, obtain and distribute required instructional materials, and communicate schedules and details
  • Proofread materials and storyboards, including editing and fact-checking
  • Support Instructional Designers in the development of training materials


Requirements


  • Knowledge and experience with CMiC is an asset.
  • Strong and effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Escalate issues in a timely manner
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Knowledge of education and adult learning is an asset
  • Very strong attention to detail, fantastic organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple assignments under tight deadlines
  • Ability to effectively problem-solve and remove obstacles independently where possible
  • Knowledge of LMS is required, knowledge of Docebo is an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and Zoom
  • Aptitude to learn new technology, products, and concepts
