The Opportunity


The Training Design and Delivery Manager’s primary focus is to professionalize and elevate the client learning experience at Fidelity Clearing Canada (FCC) by building and executing training strategies and plans for client-facing products and processes. This includes new product and feature training for existing clients as well as new client onboarding. To accomplish that, the individual collaborates with various departments across the Fidelity Canada organization to create, produce, and deliver competency-based training as well as enhance and maintain FCC’s dynamic knowledgebase. The Training Design and Delivery Manager provides innovative and engaging learning experiences utilizing a variety of training tools and resources and works with FCC’s Client Training Consultant. They facilitate classroom-style, in-person as well as web-based training sessions and other creative ways to engage their audience.


The Training Design & Delivery Manager is responsible to ensure that clients are fully educated on how to use FCC's platforms and services through training efforts for FCC's client base virtually, onsite and at the client site.


What You Will Do


  • Function as business owner of FCC’s digital knowledge base. Enhance and maintain knowledge base content and work with internal as well as external resources to continuously improve the client/user experience.
  • Create and implement training success measures and report on training program effectiveness. Define metrics, client surveys and other methods to report on progress and performance of the created programs.
  • Collaborate with FCC internal stakeholders, build strong client relationships and understand different business models across FCC’s client base to identify training needs; lead the analysis and development of recommendations and training solutions for closing knowledge gaps to support client satisfaction.
  • Develop subject matter expertise across the FCC product suite and related processes by collaborating across the FCC organization.
  • Create strategies to elevate the learning experience for FCC’s new and existing clients by utilizing a wide variety of methodologies and tools following industry best practices. Provide tactical strategies and thought leadership on improving the overall external learning function at FCC to inform and delight clients.
  • Organize and execute effective in-person (FCC or client on-site) and virtual training sessions as required by employing state-of-the-art adult learning methodologies, including creation of training scripts and reference materials (including but not limited to e-learning, policies and procedures, user guides, workflows, and presentation).


What We’re Looking For


  • 3+ years of experience in client training and development in the financial services industry or in a technology environment with proven ability to conduct needs assessment, make recommendations, and design, develop, deliver, and measure training solutions.
  • University degree or equivalent experience (nice to have degree or certification in adult training and development).

  • Proven ability to conduct needs assessment, make recommendations, and design, develop and measure training solutions.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and consistency of created material and information provided across all training programs.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and produce learning solutions in a specified timeframe and budget.
  • Strong instructional design capability and in-depth understanding of adult learning principles.
  • Analytical thinker with the ability to prioritize effectively
  • Strong facilitation and coaching skills.
