The Brand team works collaboratively with all business units to ensure brand consistency across Bell communications including digital experiences advertising and design. Brand also supports our sponsorship, web presence, social media and market insights teams.
Summary
Canada is a diverse country with a growing multicultural population that is projected to continue to grow into the future and is expected to welcome over 500,000 new permanent residents in each of the next 3 years. Arriving from over 170 different countries and representing a wide range of needs and desires, newcomers largely settle in Canada’s largest cities, where populations are growing the fastest. Bell Mobility is looking to cater to both newcomers and multicultural communities, and is developing a customized approach for our products and services to meet their needs.
As our Specialist, Channel and Experiential Marketing Communications (Multicultural), you will help manage various aspects of Multicultural brand marketing for all 3 brands of Bell: Bell Mobility, Virgin Plus and Lucky Mobile: from marketing communications strategy to agency briefing with a focus on channel communication and event activation. You will be key in the development of multicultural communications campaign and event planning.
Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with agencies, internal partners and external partners to effectively manage projects, approvals, deadlines, budgets to project completion
  • Champion brand consistency using your strong creative eye, and lead creative advertising agencies/in house creative team
  • Project manage multicultural channel advertising tactics for all 3 brands of BCE: Bell Mobility, Virgin Plus and Lucky Mobile including: briefing of campaigns, management of creative and media process, ensuring brand consistency and reporting on project performance
  • Manage and execute all channel communication elements on collateral, digital signage and other activation projects, to support business objectives and product initiatives across multicultural segments
  • Ensure projects are delivered on strategy, on time, and on budget in a fast-paced industry
  • Understanding of multicultural consumer behaviour and experience in identifying target audiences
  • Develop the strategy and execute multicultural grass roots events in key regions, including partner management, contest giveaway and lead generation
Critical Qualifications
  • Post-secondary Degree in communications, marketing or related discipline
  • Understanding of multicultural segments and their consumer behaviour
  • At least 3 years experience in advertising, event management or in-store merchandising
  • Knowledge in South Asian and/or Chinese languages an asset
  • Positive approach to building relationships and team work
  • Experience with partnership management, sponsorship activation, mass advertising (out-of-home, social/digital, radio, print, etc)
  • Ability to self motivate, problem solve, multi-task and take initiative
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work well under pressure prioritize workload and meet tight deadlines
