Job Description
The Acquisition Group is looking for a multi-talented Channel Manager in Toronto, ON to join a team focused on creating a culture of business ownership for our client, TELUS Communications.


The successful candidate will be responsible for driving profitable growth by targeting, prioritizing, and growing sales opportunities and new partnerships within the Multi-Dwelling Unit (MDU) market segment on behalf of TELUS Communications. You will be responsible for developing business relationships, account sales strategies, and execution of that strategy independently and as a member of a team to some of Canada’s top property management companies and building owners.


Working on behalf of our client TELUS Communications, you will be empowered to make decisions, drive strategy, and leverage the supporting team to hit aggressive business growth and sales targets.


Job Responsibilities:


  • Implement strategies and create effective account planning to drive results that align with sales targets
  • Coordinate events and forums where we can promote/sell our client TELUS Communication’s products and services
  • Feed into current and future marketing strategy by identifying new market opportunities
  • Stay up to date on competitor activities within the market space
  • Drive net new revenue-generating unit (RGU) growth by seeking new building and property management relationships through cold calling, relationship building, networking, and strategic partnership presentations and contract negotiations
  • Prepare professional proposals targeted to the key decision-makers in the customer’s terminology, that clearly communicate our client TELUS Communication’s solutions and values
  • Initiate post-sales activities to ensure partnerships signed are providing ongoing engagement in the program and the relationship with intended partnership benefits
  • Liaise and collaborate with other sales departments to provide guidance for smaller accounts
  • Establish trusted relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and business leaders within your accounts through prospecting and networking
  • Own and be responsible for aggressive sales and retention targets in the MDU market segment in the greater Toronto area


Requirements:


  • Ability to obtain and apply competitive information to differentiate TELUS Communications’ products and services from the competition
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills are essential; must be able to do high-level inquiry and advocate for our client TELUS Communications in a compelling, polished manner to leadership and senior corporate executives within target companies
  • Proven 3-5 years minimum experience in face-to-face sales and relationship building preferably in telecom or business-to-business space
  • You have excellent people skills and easily connect with diverse personalities at all levels of organizations
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle with availability to travel within Ontario as required from time to time
  • You are an enthusiastic self-starter with the desire and determination to win both as an individual and team contributor


Great-to-have:


  • University degree.
  • Experience within the MDU industry (property management, strata, etc.)


Job Type: Full-time, immediate start


Compensation: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per annum plus bonuses based on performance
