About the Role:


With new innovations and exciting expansions plans in place, there has never been a better time to join the Ferrero Group and be extraordinary with us! We are looking for a Channel Development Manager who will drive the integrated activity plans to execute category strategy in the assigned retail channels for the entire Ferrero Canada portfolio (Everyday Brands). In this role, you will develop and cascade the Go To Market plans, detailing the execution standards for distribution, shelving, merchandising and pricing (DSMP). The Channel Development Manager owns the portfolio level activity calendar and the prioritization decisions on what to execute. This position provides thought leadership among key cross-functional internal relationships, including Category Management, Marketing, Demand Planning and Sales Account teams. The Channel Development Manager will report to the Channel Development Director and be based in our Toronto, IL corporate office.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide input into the budget for assigned brands and key customers
  • Provide input for the development and execution in-store activations and POS
  • Responsible for defining the in-store execution objectives to be tracked for execution
  • Develop the Go To Market plan including execution standards for distribution, shelving, merchandising, and pricing (DSMP)
  • Responsible for the development, implementation and management of display tools and formats
  • Develop channel strategy and in-store activity plans to execute the brand and category strategies at retail
  • Develop the Trade Investment strategy for each brand aligned to assigned channels /key customers and category strategies
  • Create the KPI objectives aligned by Class of Trade trends and strategies
  • Develop the portfolio’s in-store activity calendar by session / assigned channels and make prioritization decisions


Who we are looking for:


  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • 7-10 years of account management and/or retail management experience in a CPG is required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Canadian Retail landscape
  • Proven experience in process and project management
