Position Summary


Reporting to the Director, Brand Marketing and Communications, the Marketing Specialist, Communications primary function will be assist in the development and execution of a variety of internal and external communication initiatives, including strengthening our employer brand and its promotion across all relevant digital channels, management of our employee intranet, supporting team events, and the creation of partner presentations and sales support.


This is am exciting opportunity for you to step into a new role for the organization and be a proactive team contributor, helping improve the employee experience by developing and/or supporting relevant, engaging communications and activities, establishing a relatable and sustainable employer brand.


You will build on your communication and writing skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into compelling narratives for various platforms and audiences playing an important role in shaping and enhancing the internal communication strategies and employee brand perception within our organization.


Major Responsibilities


  • Ensure consistent branding and messaging across internal communication channels and materials
  • Manage the company intranet increasing readership and employee engagement
  • Partner with our People & Culture team to ensure consistency and cohesiveness to our social media presence across all key job sites
  • Oversee, develop and maintain internal communication channels, such as the intranet, employee newsletters, company-wide announcements, and social collaboration platforms
  • Develop and write communications presentations for variety of internal stakeholders, including our CEO and his staff
  • Collaborate with team members to identify and develop compelling stories that showcase employee achievements, milestones, and highlights our organization culture
  • Plan, coordinate and facilitate the creation delivery of information for all company-wide meetings and town halls


The Fit


We're looking for a passionate communication specialist with 3+ years experience who embraces the challenge of brand transformation, and then importance of internal communications to ensure success.


You are skilled marketing project specialist and are all about solutions, prioritizing and juggling many tasks, aligning all involved with your enthusiasm, communication, and time management skill.


You embrace the philosophy of continuous improvement and flawless execution, while possessing the following:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages and narratives
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and eye for presentation design
  • Excellent project management and organization skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to measure the effectiveness of communication campaigns
  • Familiarity with internal communication tools and platform, social media, and digital content creation
  • Post secondary diploma/degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field
  • Knowledge of best practices and trends in employee engagement, internal communication, and employer branding
  • High standards for accuracy, detail, responsiveness, integrity and discretion
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Proven experience in internal communication, employee branding, or related roles
