The Regional Marketing Program Manager, Americas is a member of the Customer Experience team and works closely with the Global Director Customer Experience to define the marketing communications strategies and plans for the assigned region(s), including the measurement of their impact. The Regional Marketing Program Manager works in partnership with the local commercial leaders as well as product and central promotional marketing leaders to ensure effective company-wide implementation of strategic imperatives in the assigned region(s).


The role includes responsibility for improving the effectiveness and efficiency of processes, programs, and infrastructure. This position collaborates with the corporate central Customer Experience team or with local regional vendors as required in the execution of all the critical promotional marketing activities necessary to achieve the company’s profitability and market awareness and perception goals in the assigned regions(s).


This position is located in Toronto, Canada.


In addition to annual initiatives, the key accountabilities of this position are:


Key Accountabilities:


  • Benchmarks the organization’s current marketing activities, performance and investment against industry best practices, and through gap analysis, develops a roadmap for improvements and business case for undertaking necessary changes.
  • Acts as the corporate Brand champion and advocate, both internally and in the marketplace. Armstrong could target, how Armstrong will differentiate, financial aspirations in each segment of market
  • As appropriate and with the support of the Customer Experience leadership team, identifies, recommends and leads the implementation of these opportunities, including directing cross-functional implementation teams, to increase overall effectiveness of the marketing organization.
  • Directs territory-wide efforts to effectively manage and allocate resources.
  • Scans the environment for high-impact, high-leverage improvement and cross-functional collaboration opportunities.


Specific Operational Responsibilities:


Brand Management


Ensures the consistent and appropriate application of the Armstrong Brand Guidelines across all aspects of internal Armstrong communications and customer and market-


facing communications. This includes the marketing governance process that will ensure consistent messaging and adherence to brand standards across our products, our promotions and our communications.


Internal Communications


Works with all areas of the business to define and execute a local internal communication program that addresses the values and activities that will define our success in the marketplace while ensuring that Armstrong is considered as a world class employer.


External Communications


Working alongside the Global Director Customer Experience, and in collaboration with all aspects of the business, defines and executes a comprehensive annual global strategy that creates awareness as required for Armstrong’s solutions, capabilities and key initiatives. Executes the strategy, plan and development of all assets and oversees communication in NA region and liaises with RMPM in ROW to assist them in regional releases. Responsible for global marcom product support and npi launch for both Building System Solutions and Standard & Configured Building product portfolios. Working in collaboration with the offering managers to define the value proposition by target persona and develop the communication strategy, plan and assets for global use.


Program Management


Working with regional leadership, Product Marketing and other Customer Experience leadership, defines, delivers and manages complete promotional programs including the multi-media elements required to deliver our message and capabilities to all the assigned markets and targeted persona.


Digital Presence


Oversees the local execution of our core digital presence, encompassing our digital marketing, website, and social media content.


Creative Design


Responsible for localization of promotional design in support of the global Armstrong brand in the marketplace.


Events


Defines and manages a key event strategy in support of our customer experience goals as well as promotional and lead generation targets in the assigned region(s).


Role Requirements


  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment. Project management certification is an asset.
  • Minimum of 6 years brand and marketing communication experience, including development and execution of integrated multi-discipline marketing communications programs, including comprehensive digital marketing experience (SEO, SMM, On-line advertising, email campaigns).
  • Bachelor of Arts or higher.
  • Proficiency in marketing automation systems and concepts.
  • Excellent attention to detail and proofreading capability.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with reporting and data analysis.
  • French and/or Spanish fluency is an asset.
  • Ability to develop creative campaign brief.
  • Fluent in English language, both spoken and written.
  • Technically capable, excellent communicator, and a desire to improve processes.
