The Clarington Board of Trade (CBOT) is looking for a dynamic individual to join their passionate and experienced team! We are hiring a full time Marketing & Communications Coordinator on a 1-year contract to cover a maternity leave. For 25 years, CBOT has continued to provide the platform, programming, and tools for local businesses to connect, learn, grow, collaborate, and reach their goals. Striving to facilitate growth and strengthen the economy in the community, CBOT acts as a valuable resource for business, business investment, and community stakeholders.
Responsibilities of the Marketing & Communications Coordinator position:
•Development of marketing material for all functions of the Clarington Board of Trade
•Creation and distribution of newsletters, publication editorials, social media content and external communications
•Event co-ordination & execution
•Customer Relationship Management system maintenance and management
•Website maintenance
•Branding consistency
You will have strong experience and skills in:
•Desktop Publishing/Creative Suite/Canva
•Microsoft Office
•Communication (well-developed written and verbal communication skills)
•Organization
•Mulit-tasking; priorities management
•Creative and critical thinking
Assets:
•Completion of post-secondary studies in at least one of: marketing, communications, public relations; or equivalent recent experience in a similar role.
•Knowledge of local (Clarington) and regional (Durham) community.
•Experience working with a CRM system.
•Familiarity with both Mac and PC.
