Job Description

Who We Are

We are a diversified real estate development and asset management company. We own and manage over 4 million square feet of gross leasable area. We strive to be the Landlord of Choice in our markets by providing outstanding customer care and dependable, high quality service to our clients.

We Are Looking For

A General Manager who will be responsible for ensuring the successful management of our diverse portfolio of properties.

This full-time, permanent position reports to the Vice-President and is a key member of our team.

What You’ll Do

Provide leadership to your team and outstanding customer service to tenants while managing a portfolio of properties. This includes:

  • Ensure portfolio and divisional objectives are met.
  • Implement best practices for customer service, preventative maintenance, and day-to-day property management across the portfolio.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and leadership to a team of property managers and support staff.
  • Collaborate with the team to oversee a prioritized 5-year capital expenditure budget.
  • Develop the overall strategic plan for operating budgets.
  • Take a leadership role in portfolio matters such as taxes, utility procurement, and insurance.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including partners, to ensure continued growth.

About You

  • You have 7-10 years experience in a commercial real estate managerial role.
  • You possess strong interpersonal skills and are able to build lasting business relationships.
  • Your communication, conflict resolution and project management skills are exceptional.
  • You have excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • You have a post-secondary degree or diploma in Business, accreditation from the industry, or relevant experience.
  • You have strong financial acumen, including budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting.
  • You have expert knowledge with: lease documentation, budgeting/financial practices, negotiations, and managing retail properties.
