We Are Looking For
A General Manager who will be responsible for ensuring the successful management of our diverse portfolio of properties.
This full-time, permanent position reports to the Vice-President and is a key member of our team.
What You’ll Do
Provide leadership to your team and outstanding customer service to tenants while managing a portfolio of properties. This includes:
- Ensure portfolio and divisional objectives are met.
- Implement best practices for customer service, preventative maintenance, and day-to-day property management across the portfolio.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and leadership to a team of property managers and support staff.
- Collaborate with the team to oversee a prioritized 5-year capital expenditure budget.
- Develop the overall strategic plan for operating budgets.
- Take a leadership role in portfolio matters such as taxes, utility procurement, and insurance.
- Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including partners, to ensure continued growth.
About You
- You have 7-10 years experience in a commercial real estate managerial role.
- You possess strong interpersonal skills and are able to build lasting business relationships.
- Your communication, conflict resolution and project management skills are exceptional.
- You have excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- You have a post-secondary degree or diploma in Business, accreditation from the industry, or relevant experience.
- You have strong financial acumen, including budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting.
- You have expert knowledge with: lease documentation, budgeting/financial practices, negotiations, and managing retail properties.
