Baker Tilly RSG LLP is currently looking for 2 Accounting Technicians for full-time (32-40 hours per week, plus overtime during March and April) permanent positions to join our team in our Edmonton office, located at 10430 61 Avenue NW.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting various projects and administrative tasks as required
• Assistance with and preparation of client bookkeeping
• Assistance with and preparation of compilation engagements under CSRS 4200, including preparation of adjusting journal entries, financial statements and corporation income tax returns
• Assistance with and preparation of personal income tax, T4, WCB and T5 returns

A successful candidate will have:

Qualifications:

• Strong oral and written English communication skills
• Experience with any of Caseware, TaxPrep, Doc-it, QBO, Xero and/or Microsoft Suite is an asset
• Enrollment in or completion of a recognized professional Accounting Designation is an asset
• Completion of a post-secondary certificate or accounting diploma or degree required
• Accomplished in multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks to meet multiple deadlines with adaptability to changing priorities
• 3-5 years of experience in a public practice firm setting
• Ability to make decisions and problem solve independently within the scope of the position
• Completion of basic Canadian Income Tax preparation course(s) or experience in Canadian income tax preparation required
