Overview

Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Calgary office is recruiting for an Intern, Accounting to join the team. This position is within the Project Cost Services group which is part of Pembina’s Financial Services Division from September 5, to August 30, 2024.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Reports to Supervisor, Project Cost Services;
• Prepare monthly schedules and reports;
• Create capital and expense projects for all approved AFEs in SAP;
• Prepare account reconciliations;
• Other duties as required; and
• Reviewing all Authorization for Expenditures (AFEs) to ensure compliance with company and accounting policies, proper workflow and financial approval;
• Maintain and monitor project master data in the project system module and budget data;
• Contribute to an environment that promotes inclusion and diversity.
• Assist all Business/Services Units and project managers with cost inquiries, project forecasts and SAP related requests;

Job Qualifications

• Possesses a strong work ethic and the ability to generate superior results under tight deadlines and competing priorities;
• Energetic, positive, and motivated;
• Experience with accounting software or SAP is desirable.
• Currently a second-year Accounting student or higher;
• Must have completed Intermediate Financial Accounting I or equivalent;
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills including familiarity with other MS applications is preferred; and
• Must be enrolled in a university Co-operative Education program;
• Completion of Intermediate Financial Accounting II and/or a management accounting course or equivalent is desirable;
• Detail-oriented with strong problem solving and critical thinking skills;

Final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
