Our client is seeking an equally passionate, energetic, and motivated individual to join their purpose-driven organization, which supports the prosperity and protection of Indigenous communities. This new hire will be the Accounting Coordinator, supporting accounting and administrative functions in their downtown Calgary office.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic to jump in where needed and have the ability to work with various entities including non-profit, personal holdings, and personal taxes, as well as navigate complex inter-company transactions.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The key job functions are:
- Communicating with external parties and completing subsequent reporting, preparing for yearly audits when needed
- Gathering and preparing confidential information for the filing of both Canadian and US taxes
- General bookkeeping and daily transactions
- Implementing streamlined storage and intake systems for archived and incoming documentation
- Administrative support where needed
- Collecting and coordinating documentation for multiple companies
Education:
- Post-secondary education in relevant field an asset
- High school diploma
Qualifications:
- Driver’s license preferred
- Clean background check
Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience
- 3-5 years of experience in administrative based roles
- Knowledge of various entities including non-profit, personal holdings, personal taxes, and inter-company transactions an asset
Skills:
- Resourceful, problem-solving attitude
- Proficiency with Excel, Wave, and Simply Accounting
- Capacity to work autonomously, as well as lend a hand when needed
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and companies with ease
- Communicates openly and does not shy away from asking for help
- Proven ability to maintain a strict level of confidentiality
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
Base Salary: $60,000 per year
- Full benefits package provided
Work Hours:
- Monday – Friday
- 8:30 am – 5:00 pm (1 hour lunch)
- 37.5 hours per week
Remote Work:
- This position is not remote. You are required to be on site.

- This opportunity does not include relocation. It will be the responsibility of the candidate should relocation be required.
