7389 - Accounting Administator Jobs

Our client, the third largest producer of Canadian oil and natural gas and the second largest refiner and upgrader with extensive midstream and downstream infrastructure, has an immediate need for an Accounting Administrator to collaborate with business stakeholders and execution teams. This is a contract position for eight (8) months in Calgary, Alberta.

Description

The main purpose of this position is to ensure timely payment jobs are completed as well as timely processing of Permanent and Temporary Delegation of Authority for employees.

Role Accountabilities

• Provide training, support and coaching to team members
• Perform Accounts Payable Payments month end procedures including account reconciliations
• Support and complete Delegation of Financial Authority - Permanent and Temporary delegations
• Effectively communicate with suppliers, internal customers, and team members
• Ensure rush/priority pay and critical payments meet deadlines
• Identify new approaches to doing tasks to increase efficiency
• Daily Review of SAP FIORI Bank Statement cheque items and clear to appropriate GL’s.
• Process daily payment jobs and ad hoc payments in SAP
• Make recommendations for improvement to process
• Triage Accounts Payable Payments shared email inboxes

Deliverables

• Timely processing and payment of invoices from SAP FIORI application
• Timely responses to internal and external inquiries
• Timely processing and updating SAP system for Temporary and Permanent Delegation of Authority.
• Monthly preparation of Accounts Payable Payment account reconciliations

Qualifications

• Experience Performing Accounts Payable month end procedures including account reconciliations
• Works with minimal supervision
• Office Administration or Business Admin diploma an asset
• Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills
• Highly collaborative
• Oil and gas experience is an asset
• Open Invoice, SAP experience an asset
• Strong time management
• Accepting of change and adapts quickly
• Completed or currently working toward accounting designation
• Strong organization skills
• Experience with processing and payment of invoices
