We invite you to join us and be part of a dynamic team.Responsibilities:Supporting the Controller with workflow process improvement and pursuing special projectsWorking with direct reports to determine objectives and goals for each year, and advising on their progress to enhance staff professional developmentAssisting in the design and implementation of features and procedures to enhance the accounting department’s workflowMaking sure members of the finance team meet all financial reporting deadlinesResponding to inquiries from the Controller, Director of Finance, and other high-level ManagersTraining and advising new and existing employees of non-routine reporting transactionsMonitoring and analyzing the financial department to develop more efficient procedures and proper use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracyManage all accounting operations including billing, A/R, A/P, Costing, Inventory accounting, and Revenue Recognition (Current staff of 5)Prepare and process statutory filings and remittancesHandle accounting department personnel issues relating to staff conflicts, absenteeism, performance issues, etc.Publish monthly and annual financial statementsEnsure an accurate and timely monthly and year end closeRequirements:Post Secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.Experience in Management, Accounting, or a related field may be preferred.Excellent leadership and communication skills.Strong understanding of accounting, finance, and management principles.CPA designation or in current pursuit of CPA designation preferred but not requiredDoes your career need a lift?If you are a dedicated and detail-oriented accounting professional with a passion for financial reporting and the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment, we encourage you to apply for this Accounting Supervisor role.
