Here’s What’s Waiting For You…
As a Condominium Property Accountant for our Red Deer branch, you will support the operations and financial requirements for a portfolio of Condominiums. The position is very fundamental in providing our current and future client’s excellent service.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, general ledger accounting, and financial reporting, as well as financial profitability analysis and other special projects as assigned.

Along with having a portfolio, your role will include assisting in the review of the monthly financial statements for each of our properties. You will be expected to provide guidance and direction from your past experiences to the team to ensure our clients receive accurate and timely financials information.
Job Duties
  • Following internal controls.
  • Research and reconcile all discrepancies.
  • Financial and profitability analysis on a requested basis for our managers.
  • Liaise with various internal departments and offer “consistent and effective service” to both internal and external customers.
  • Ensuring annual budgets are inputted and all charges are updated.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, reports, and records by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information, inclusive of AP and AR entries for a portfolio.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Year end Audit co-ordination, inclusive of ensuring all adjustments are posted.
  • Proficient in the preparation of bank reconciliations.
  • Addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries and accruals.
  • Prepare GST and other government financial and taxation reporting.
Requirements
  • Ability to function as a team player.
  • Good oral and written communications skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized; able to work in a team environment and independently.
  • Accuracy in daily work and other projects.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • An accounting degree or certification in accounting courses is a must and a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with vendors and other employees.
  • Ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines.
  • Adherence to internal controls, policies and procedures and instructions of Senior Management and Vice President- Finance.
Demonstrated a solid understanding of full-cycle accounting including use of sub ledgers and general ledgers, chart of account navigation, and financial reporting.
