Flight Network is looking for a Controller to join our Finance team in Canada.

The role will be based in Canada, but stakeholders can be in either of our locations globally and will also involve external contacts. The Controller will report to the Group Accounting Director based out of Sweden.

Responsibilities

• Statutory reporting including Internal and External Audits
• Participating in the Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly financial reporting to various stakeholders. Including members of the Group across multiple geographies.
• Development of routines, internal control, processes and systems.
• Supporting the Finance department and other Group Departments with risk based assessments on key revenue and/or cost streams.
• Other business controlling tasks that may be relevant
• Participate in reviews to ensure the business is continuing to meet current and changing compliance obligations, including statutory accounting and tax related requirements.
• Analysis, reporting and monitoring of KPIs, revenues, costs, risks, working capital and cash flow.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Experience working with teams internationally is considered an asset
• Exceptional work ethic, team mentality, positive attitude, self-motivated, and excellent business partnering skills.
• Solid analytical skills and experience in analyzing and managing large amounts of data
• Previous experience with SQL or BI/Database tool skills (ie. Looker), an asset.
• Minimum 4 years relevant work experience as a Business and/or Financial Controller or similar
• Maintain the highest standards of accuracy and precision; detail-oriented, highly organized, and resourceful.
• Strong communication skills in order to quickly establish key relationships within the Group and externally.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or equivalent
• Canadian CPA designation or equivalent, CFA, or MBA is an asset
• Advanced MS Excel/Google Sheet skills
