Job Description
We have partnered with our client located in Georgetown in their search for a Controller to oversee a small team. This is a work in office position with great benefits!


The Role: Enhance and manage the efficiency of their accounting operations, to maintain


records of financial transactions, including invoices, accounts receivable, receipts,


accounts payable and payments, and to ensure legal requirements compliance.


Duties & Responsibilities


  • Assist with recording and posting day-to-day financial transactions, reconciliation of


entries/accounts, and maintenance of the general ledger


  • Conduct periodic bank reconciliations and ensure debt payments are made on a timely
  • Develop and maintain systems of accounting policies, procedures and internal controls

  • Process payroll and government remittances in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and issue periodic financial reports, as directed
  • Work with other members of senior management to develop and implement


comprehensive client/project profitability measurement system and budgetary


forecasting process


  • Coordinate preparation of the budget and financial forecasts; analyze and report on


variances


  • Manage and comply with municipal, provincial and federal government reporting


requirements and tax filings


  • Interface with external auditors, bankers, lessees, insurance agents and credit card


companies


  • Exhibit strong working knowledge of accounting and enterprise resource planning (ERP)


software packages


  • Manage corporate bank accounts for Parent and Subsidiary companies under the


group umbrella of corporate entities, including both US and Canadian corporations.


  • Manage day to day banking relationships and operational capacity with both Canadian


and US banking entities to facilitate intercompany loans, payments, wire transfers or


Other Cash Transfer Vehicles As Required.


  • Experience with manufacturing industry ERP computer systems, generating reports,


inventory management accounting etc.

Requirements


  • ERP system experience
  • CPA Designation
  • CPA Designation
  • 4 years plus relevant experience in a similar role
  • Cross Border Experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
