International Communications Unit Jobs

Location – Riyadh or Jeddah, Saudi Arabia (Must be willing to relocate by Q4 2023)

Requirements:

• Advantage is working within government communications

• Experience and enthusiastic to be ready and build your own team

• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience: in the field of communications and media

• Strategic Communication Expertise: The candidate should have a strong understanding of communication principles, strategies, and tactics for both domestic and international contexts

• Leadership and Management Skills: The Candidate should have strong leadership skills to inspire and guide the team, set strategic goals, allocate resources, and ensure successful execution of communication strategies

• Strategic Thinking and Problem-Solving: The candidate should possess strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities. Should be able to identify communication challenges, develop innovative solutions, and make informed decisions to achieve clients' objectives

• Client Relationship: The candidate should have excellent client management skills, including the ability to understand client needs, provide strategic counsel, and deliver effective communication solutions

• Communication and Influencing Skills: Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. The candidate should have the ability to influence and persuade others to gain buy-in for communication strategies

• Industry Experience: A proven track record in the field of strategic communication, with experience in international contexts, is essential. This includes experience in developing and executing successful communication campaigns and managing complex communication projects

• Cross-Cultural Competence: Given the international focus of the unit, the head should have cross-cultural competence and a deep understanding of various cultural nuances

• Strong network of international media experts: having a strong connection with a network of media experts in the key international markets, such as USA, UK, China, France, Germany, Russia, India…etc

Responsibilities:

· Build the unit capability as a leading partner by developing the operating model, org structure, identifying key resources, strategic partners, and media experts network in the key markets internationally

· Lead the development of the tools and methodologies of the International Communication Unit following best practices on a global level

· Lead the development of Pure International Communication Unit growth strategy, and business plans

· Lead the business development of the unit, including building relations with clients, proposals development and full bidding process

· Manage the unit P&L and financial being the leading partner of the unit

· Lead the delivery of the consulting projects related to international communication including:

o The understanding phase, which includes conducing media scan, polling/research, benchmarking…etc

o Development of international communication strategies with all relevant elements, such as objectives, messages, channels, KPIs …etc

o Development of internal communication plans

o Leading the execution of the approved plans across markets of international level, including media relations, digital media

o Tracking and monitoring the performance and effectiveness of the comms plans execution

· Manage and lead the talents of the International Communication Unit with making sure that we have the right investment in our people.
