Genesus head office located in Oakville, Manitoba is seeking a qualified individual to join our Oakville office team in the job position of Controller.

Position Qualifications

The successful Candidate must have the following qualifications:

• Effective in conflict resolution and decision-making
• 2-5 years as an accountant or controller
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and Accounting Software
• Strong Organizational skills and attention-to-detail
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles
• Excellent communication & Leadership skills
• Canadian Citizen or permanent resident of Canada eligible for employment in Canada

Controller Responsibilities

The Controller is responsible for overseeing the accounting operations of the company. This includes managing all deposits, oversight of journal entries and vendor payments. The Controller is also responsible for enhancing the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure they comply with generally accepted accounting principles.

Accounting Responsibilities Include

• Prepare material for Review Engagements & tax returns
• Bank reporting and account management; Money transfers & bank transactions
• Manage recurring and payment journal entries.
• Overseeing A/P & A/R accounts
• Manage fixed asset transactions (purchase/disposal).
• Identify, troubleshoot and resolve transactional issues
• PST & GST filings
